We are a family business with over 40 years experience in the caravan and camping industry. We began in 1963 with the design and manufacturing of the Tour-A-Way, which later became known as the Caravette range manufactured by Gypsey.
In 1982 Durban Gypsey opened its doors in Durban as the Ci Gypsey agent, and in 1990 having outgrown these premises, we relocated to our present site at the foot of Fields Hill - 14 Nicholson Road (off Richmond Road), Pinetown.
In 1998 Jurgens-Ci extended our franchise to include Sprite and Jurgens caravans, plus the WJ range of MotorHomes - thus the need to change our trading name to Durban Caravans and Outdoors.
We have since taken on the Jurgens Safari range of off - road caravansand with the afrispoor off - road trailers and jurgens trailers we offer a comprehensive choice to suite your lifestyle.

Trailer, MotorHome and 4x4 Rentals Jan Groen handles our trailer rentals and Gavin is responsible for the MotorHome and 4x4 rentals.
There are few, if any, caravan workshops that can match our experience and workmanship. Jan Groen Jnr personally oversees all repairs carried out on your caravan by our workshop - be it a minor chassis service, an insurance repair, or a major rebuild and modification.
